NFL / WEEK 3 / PRIORITY BETS
Best Bets of NFL Week 3
Giants -3, Buccaneers moneyline, Lions -6.5 and Chargers +7 are my priority bets for NFL Week 3. Here is why I like these four spots for Sunday, September 27.
My NFL Week 3 priority card
| Selection | Tier and stake |
|---|---|
| New York Giants -3 | Priority — $15 risked |
| Tampa Bay Buccaneers moneyline | Priority — $15 risked |
| Detroit Lions -6.5 | Priority — $15 risked |
| Los Angeles Chargers +7 | Priority — $15 risked |
Four selections, $60 in planned sportsbook risk. Stakes mean the amount risked, not the amount to win. These are my selected bets; ticket prices and placement details have not been recorded. The spreads above are my selected numbers, not a live odds feed.
New York Giants -3
Tennessee Titans at New York Giants · September 27, 2026
Coming off that loss, I do not expect Jameis Winston to be as bad as he was against the Rams. My read is that the Giants can take advantage of this matchup with Tennessee.
The Titans played Philadelphia tough, but the Eagles play those ugly, tough games against basically everyone. In my view, that is not enough reason to believe Tennessee is suddenly much better than the team we saw in Week 1. I like the Giants laying three.
Quarterback update: Jaxson Dart suffered a season-ending knee injury against the Rams, and Jameis Winston will start against Tennessee. The selected wager remains Giants -3; the September 24 public market snapshot was Giants -2.5, so the pick and current market should not be conflated.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers moneyline
Minnesota Vikings at Tampa Bay Buccaneers · September 27, 2026
The Bucs have to get this win. Minnesota has started 2-0, but going into Tampa Bay feels like a potential letdown spot for the Vikings.
Getting the Bucs as a home underdog is what I really like about this bet. I am taking Tampa Bay to win outright.
Moneyline price: not yet recorded. The underdog angle is the basis of this selection, not a guarantee that every sportsbook will offer the same price.
Detroit Lions -6.5
New York Jets at Detroit Lions · September 27, 2026
This is one I may regret, but I do not think the Lions have found their stride yet. They are 1-1 through two games. In the opener, they got up big, let the lead slip away and still managed to win. Against Buffalo, things obviously did not look good.
To me, this is a get-right spot against the Jets. I am backing Detroit at six and a half.
Los Angeles Chargers +7
Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills · September 27, 2026
Another ugly one. Buffalo has been red hot, and this feels like a game the Bills probably win. But the Chargers desperately need a win. To me, their season is on the line if they cannot turn this around.
That urgency is part of why I like this spot, and getting a full seven points is the other part. I am taking the Chargers +7.
