My read from last week

Texas A&M did not look great to start against Kentucky. Kentucky had also shown encouraging stretches against Alabama, so I do not want to dismiss the opponent when assessing that loss.

Matchup analysis

Texas A&M moved the ball but lost the turnover comparison and was badly outscored in the third quarter. LSU recovered from a large halftime deficit before conceding the decisive response. Quarterback efficiency and drive finishing are the useful comparison; a loss by itself does not make either team a value play the following week.

Availability and news to watch

Texas A&M receiver and returner Terry Bussey is out for the season with a lower-body injury. Running back Jamarion Morrow and receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman were also listed as availability concerns early in the week. Texas A&M injury update
