Our analysis
Five first-half possessions. Five punts. Then a win.
Cleveland beat Baltimore 13–10 on Sunday after being shut out before halftime. The Browns had only 46 net yards at the break, but their defense kept the game within reach by allowing no points after Baltimore’s opening two possessions.
The fourth-quarter turning point was a recovered Ravens fumble at the Baltimore 35. Audric Estimé finished that opportunity with a two-yard touchdown run to tie it at 10.
Then Deshaun Watson found Jerry Jeudy for 33 yards on third-and-five during the winning drive. Andre Szmyt’s 37-yard field goal ended it.
The final yardage was almost level: Cleveland 237, Baltimore 235. This wasn’t an offensive breakout hidden inside a low score. It was a game won by keeping a bad first half survivable and making the few decisive plays late.
The result counts. So does remembering how close Cleveland came to getting nothing from its offense.
