A.J. Brown’s Injury Raises More Questions About the Patriots
If A.J. Brown misses at least four weeks, this is a massive blow to the Patriots.
New England’s offense did not look great against Seattle in the opener. Now they could be facing an extended stretch without the player I consider their best wide receiver. That makes getting this offense going a much tougher task.
There are a lot of questions about this team after Week 1. But keep some perspective: the Patriots also lost their opener last year against the Raiders. One bad start doesn’t decide a season.
Still, losing Brown would make the response to this opening loss considerably harder. The Patriots already needed to show more on offense. His absence would put even more pressure on everyone else.
Injury coverage: Pats Pulpit. The four-week scenario above is conditional; a confirmed return date has not been established here.
