Taking the points, but Cleveland has to score
Eight and a half just seems like a lot of points.
The Jaguars could absolutely run away with this game. But if they start slowly, covering a spread this big becomes a much tougher ask. If Cleveland’s defense can play tough and slow Jacksonville down, the Browns should have a chance to keep this somewhat close.
The biggest concern is Watson. If he’s horrible, Cleveland’s defense can only do so much. The Browns will have to score—you can’t expect the defense to carry this bet by itself.
I’m taking the points, but I need Cleveland’s offense to give its defense some help.
